Global loss adjuster McLarens is expanding its Asia-Pacific footprint with the opening of a new office in Kuala Lumpur.
Veknesh Subramaniam will head the new Malaysian operation and assumes the title of general manager.
Prior to joining McLarens in 2017, he worked with a number of local adjusting firms in Malaysia, managing large portfolios for local and global insurers, brokers and corporate clients.
“McLarens has been active in Malaysia for some time, however as one of the largest insurance markets in the region, and with increasing demand from clients, it’s become increasingly clear that we require a full time presence in the country,” said Chris Panes, McLarens’ chief operating officer for Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Subramaniam has extensive experience in handling multi-million dollar losses involving fire, explosion, liability, engineering, plant and machinery, equipment and fidelity guarantee, as well as various other types of claims for both commercial and industrial losses.
